Honoring Jabari - the Lion of the Desert

It is with sadness and gratitude I pen this word.  Jabari, "the Mountain", Pasha of Teehra, and honored citizen of Tyros passed into the arms of grace in the past week (May 31, 2018).

Knowing such a man as I did, for two years, is a deep honor.  I knew him for his grace, generosity, eye for beauty, keen mind, and many qualities we read of only in heroes of a better age.

My Snow and our Mirage Dancers were honored to perform at his city (Tyros) on April 25, 2018.  Never did I suspect these would be my last words face to face with him.  Beyond that we had planned for more dance events.  He was always a champion of involving men in dance.   Such a man can never be replaced, but only emulated.

When they say Great masters inspire, they speak of this man.
He will always be missed, but never forgotten.

Waving his hand in the air and took a deep breath upward and said."Thank you all for coming tonight. Koardan has been with me since I started Teehra till it ended it. He works hard with each dancer to make them perfect in this dance. As you know this is not an easy thing and the girls and boys put much work into it. I want to thank you all first for coming tonight and for welcoming our family to your home. I will serve it as I did my own. Hail Tyros and may you always have water."
