1308 Gorean Campus (preview)
Gorean Campus held a well organized event at the end of the month that awarded over 15,000 Linden of prizes. What always impresses me is the broad team involved to organize such events. Lady Janette Inglewood served as Admin and Judge, Krista as Assistant (and dance entertainment while I filled in my judges scroing card), MC by Lady Hope, DJ by Domi via GPR, Security by Drew, Build by TimoL, Judging by Lady Janette and rajaa/tuka. I judged to cover for Khon, the head of my house, who later was busy branding the legs of some advancing students back at Port Haifa. When you count all the staff for announcement, tarn transport and the key figures above the staff actually outnumbers the 8 dancers!
I say 8, but sadly, one of the fine dancers for today, Angel, was called away by some other life. I recommend you find another event in which she dances to view her talent - for it is impressive indeed.
Nearly 70 people attended, including a contingent of 5 from my Homestone under my vigilant escort.
The following exciting Kajirae performed for us.
- Alice
- Amethyst
- Hoshi
- Tina
- Bindi
- Sage
- Giani
I can tell you as a judge, that each were enjoyable in their own ways. But 4 emerged as extra notable. Giani, Hoshi, Sage and Tina were all presented with additional recognition for the the pleasure they brought the free today. Though I had a hand in judging the event, and I did not a difference of 34% in some cases, I truly was pleased by all the girls. The day would not be complete if any were missing. I am always pleased to see known virtuosos in combination with new talent so all may learn. Some of the girls were new to dance. This wast Hoshi's second event, and she took second place. What is special about this girl is she has hearing challenges in RL, yet moves us with both her music and performance. I asked her what she considers hard about dance, and she replied "for girl? the hard part is not dancing", which was followed by the music of her giggles. I will warn you to be careful with her however, as she is an exotic breed capable of doing extensive damage with her claws and bite. Thankfully her mistress redirected her talent form assassination to dancing.
Giani's lamet for a fallen Master was particularly moving to the whole audience. I have seen sage dance on Youtube and always find her work brilliant. Bindi's music had my rocking in my seat to add the squeak of my chair to the fine music she chose (Didgeridoo - Drum Dance Songs 1-3)
I took my usual 200 pictures and videos, interviewed other dances, and had some praise for each of the dancers. That fun may wait though, so check back in a week's time when I have time do do justice to the work of these girls by at least cropping their sketches. For now it is time for me to prepare to attend the memorial dance for Master Samos.
Fire and Sand.....Koardan of Port Haifa.

| Alice was our first dancer. Some of the dancers were nervous. It was hard to tell in this sketch. |
